Karan Bhangui

I am passionate about solving problems at the intersection of technology and social science. Information technology is transforming the large industries that form our society – including finance, government, construction, agriculture, logistics, healthcare, and education – and will bring prosperity to billions of people. I start and help build companies that will be leaders in driving this next Industrial Revolution.

At age 19, I dropped out of the computer engineering program at the University of Waterloo to go work for then-startup Addepar under the mentorship of Joe Lonsdale. At Addepar, I took on roles in engineering, product design, project management, and senior talent recruiting. I later worked at Formation 8 where I led special projects to further research and develop the Smart Enterprise thesis.

In the past, I have been a proud member of the Velocity startup program at the University of Waterloo and was accepted into the Y Combinator Summer 2012 class. I've been a programmer since elementary school and today hack on Python, Go, Java, and JavaScript.

I am very interested in speaking with fellow entrepreneurs, members of various industries, and anyone else passionate about improving the human condition. Feel free to reach out to me: karan.bhangui@gmail.com
